Brooks Ghost 12 Review for Men and Women 2022

The Ghost series has been a solid go-to shoe for runners of all abilities. The Brooks 12 is a sock-like fit that fits true to size. People are glad to learn that the 12th edition is quite identical to the Ghost 11, with only a few minor differences.

The upper fit hasn’t changed much except for the heel, which is softer than the 11. By employing a different mesh and minimizing the amount of synthetic around the outer heel, the Ghost 12 softens the Heel drop. The Ghost 12 has a dual midsole like the 11, with DNA Loft for plushness and stability in the heel and BioMoGo DNA cushioning for a responsive, bouncy ride.

Brooks Ghost 12 Review: Introduction

Brooks Ghost 12 Reviews
Brooks Ghost 12 Review

The Brooks Ghost 12 running shoes can be described as a comfortable neutral running shoe for daily training and long-distance runs if you’re new to Brooks. The sole will comfortably handle a variety of non-technical paths, while the top will keep the midfoot secure.

The Ghost 12 has a consistently gentle riding feel for long, recovery, and high-mileage runs. In the Brooks ghost review, people write this shoe is also a reasonably sturdy version, making it a good alternative for people who spend a lot of time on the road.

Brooks is a reputable brand that is known for providing high-quality running shoes. If you’ve worn previous iterations of this shoe, you’ll realize that the changes have improved the upper and overall comfort.

Brooks Ghost 12 Review: Detailed

Midsole

The Brooks Ghost 12 boasts a dual midsole like version 11 of the shoe. It is with DNA Loft for plushness and stability in the heel and BioMoGo DNA cushioning for a responsive and bouncy ride. The foam in the midsole isn’t the most bouncy, nor is it the lightest. It maintains the ideal combination of ride stability and long-distance comfort.

The Ghost 12 midsole is all-new, but it’s identical in design to version 11, so there’s only a minor difference. It is a little softer underfoot. When we run on the drop of 4 mm, it feels like we’re getting ready for a longer, more comfortable run.

Outsole

The outsole of the Brooks Ghost 12 is slightly different from the previous version, Ghost 11, but the designs are the same. For optimal traction, blown rubber covers the entire outsole practically. Many of the shoes in the series use rubber only on limited high-impact areas of the outsole.

It has thicker EVA but uses it for the whole outsole, providing users significant durability. The Ghost’s outsole rubber is tough, but the segmented crash pad’s design improves the shoe’s grip on any surface. It gives fluffy comfort notion and the fact that it can handle a variety of surfaces for long miles easy run.

Upper

The Brooks Ghost 12 running shoe has an upper that offers an ideal sock-like fit for the protection of the foot. The impressive overlays are 3D-printed right onto the engineered mesh upper, eliminating the stitching, glue, or other adhesives.

The upper provides an ideal sock-like fit for security. The plain lacing of the shoe is typical and lightweight, yet they didn’t come undone during testing of the shoe.

Colorways

The Brooks ghost has many different colors available in men’s and women’s shoes.

In the Brooks women’s Ghost 12 running shoes, the available colors are lead grey desert, white/ grey/ hollyhock, black/ grey, valerian/ grape/ grey, blue majolica desert, blue pea coat blue aqua 413, pea coat/ blue/ aqua, teaberry/ rumba/ viridian and many more.

And in the Brooks men’s Ghost 12 running shoes, the available colors are black/ grey, black/ lime/ bluegrass, black/ pearl/ oyster, blue/ navy/ nightlife, red/ black, black/ true blue/ black and many more.

Weight

The Brooks Ghost 12 is a lightweight shoe. The weight of the brooks women’s Ghost 12 running shoes is 264 grams or 9.3 oz. And the weight of the brooks men’s ghost 12 running shoes is 295 grams or 10.4 oz.

In addition, compared to the previous edition, this version saves the pair an extra once. Even though the shoe is heavy compared to other lightweight running shoes, the runner gets a much more accessible run on it.

Whenever you had a ride in the Ghost 12, you will notice that they felt fast and also lighter sneaker. They’re slightly lightweight than many of my other similar road shoes.

Drop

The Brooks Ghost 12 sole’s drop has a height of 12 mm. A running shoe like this has a drop of 6 or 8 mm. The heel stack height of the shoe is 31 mm, and the size of the forefoot drop is 19 mm.

The new Ghost 12 shoe is as good as the previous one, with a well-cushioned stable ride and smooth running. The shoe keeps most of its best qualities of earlier iterations, but they now have an improved 3D Fit Print upper that fits the foot even better than before. They also appear to be very durable and responsive.

In the Brooks Ghost 12 review, people write that the shoe is improved in decreasing the impact on the foot and helps to have long mileage or any daily run.  The grip and traction are also excellent.
